3/4 cup (150g) packed light or dark brown sugar

48 unwrapped miniature peanut butter cups (or 2 cups chopped peanut butter cups)

two 4 ounce (226g) semi-sweet chocolate bars, coarsely chopped*

3 large eggs, at room temperature
