- ¼ cup very cold water
- ¾ cup (packed) dark brown sugar
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup chopped pecans, ((optional but highly recommended))
- 3 tablespoons raisins ((optional))
